Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

As a Chapter Lead in our Enterprise Domain, you’ll play a key role in building world class capability for the Chapter area, developing squad members and improving the way we work. This role is responsible for leading a chapter of technical experts by guiding them on "how" to work and their professional development. They are also responsible for developing mastery of capability in their chapter.

As a Chapter Lead, you will:

  • Be a proven Leader with the ability to Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of technical experts, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver high quality solutions.

  • Forster a collaborative and inclusive culture where continuous learning and development are prioritised

  • Provide input into the platforms architecture, design, and implementation of features

  • Define and drive the long-term strategy of the platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.  Identify opportunities for automation, optimisation and scalabilitiy

  • Build strong relationships with cross functional teams, including Business stakeholders, products and other Technology teams to ensure quality of delivery

  • Stay ahead of the industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing innovative ideas to the table that will push out platform to the next level

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven leadership (5+years) with experience managing and mentoring high performing data engineering teams

  • Technical expertise with a deep understanding of modern data architecture, data pipelines, cloud platforms, and big data technologies

  • You will thrive in a fast paces environment and have a strong ability to balance strategic vision with day to day operational execution

  • You are passionate about empowering people and fostering a growth-orientated, collaborative team culture

  • You possess exceptional communuication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence
