About the Role

As a Head of GTM Strategy, Transaction Banking, you’ll play a key role in helping to drive strategies for new strategic product initiatives within Transaction Banking, including real-time payment capabilities, data analytics products, B2B payment & financing products, cross-border payments, and liquidity management platforms. This role ensures clear value propositions are developed, effective customer segmentation and prospecting processes are followed, and works closely with sales, comms and marketing teams to deliver successful sales outcomes.

Work Hours: Full-time, 40hrs/week

What will your day look like?

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering integrated GTM strategies developed through a deep understanding of strategic business objectives, product portfolio, audience segments, and target industries, and using that expertise to create differentiated messages that can be activated across the right channel mix.
  • Partnering with business leads to align plans to strategic business objectives and milestones, meeting regularly with key stakeholders to gather input, provide feedback, and measure success.
  • Become a subject matter expert for custom payments solutions, embodying "one message, multiple messengers" to educate, equip, and excite the Sales teams and support the evolution of our product development.
  • Deliver and utilize market trends, competitive and customer research to shape how we position our solutions in the marketplace.
  • Create meaningful, relevant, and compelling narratives and sales tools for target audiences, supported by tangible proof points.
  • Quickly build strong relationships among product and sales teams across all functions and geographies within Transaction Banking.
  • Have deep empathy for users and adapt communication to best reach and engage our audience, differentiating ANZ. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track.
  • Act as a team player, collaborating across the various teams involved in successful product delivery and execution.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Extensive experience in a sales, strategic product management or marketing or business development role
  • Proven experience in developing and executing GTM strategies for complex product portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in transaction banking.
  • Ability to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across different functions and geographies.
