About the Role
As a Test Director in our Australia technology area, you’ll play a key will play a pivotal role in overseeing all testing and environment activities related to our migration of customers from Suncorp Bank to ANZ Bank. This position is essential for ensuring seamless communication and alignment between the ANZ team, our Data Migration partner(s) and all other testing delivery partners. The drivers for this role are to provide strong thought leadership across the program testing and environments, real-time decision-making, quality assurance, and effective risk management with strong people leadership skills and vendor management experience.

What will your day look like?
- Act as the primary liaison between the ANZ team our Data Migration partner(s), and other testing partners to ensure strategic work plans are established and partnerships are effective.
- Provide immediate issue resolution and make real-time decisions by being in close proximity to the majority of the program leadership.
- Deliver immediate attention to issues, mitigating risks early in the testing process.
- Oversee the strategic coordination between teams to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain an onshore presence to signal commitment and build stronger relationships with local stakeholders.
- Facilitate smooth collaboration across all teams
- System Testing (ST): Support for testing approaches and delivery plans across all involved parties in the data migration activities.
- System Integration Testing (SIT): Validate integration of different systems and components.
- End-to-End Testing (E2E): Oversee entire data migration process testing from start to finish.
- Central Coordination: Ensure strategic work plans are established and partnerships are effective, reducing friction between vendor teams.
- Real-Time Decision-Making: Provide immediate issue resolution for quicker communication and agile responses to project needs.
- Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Ensure testing aligns with ANZ-specific needs and complies with local regulations.
- Enhanced Operational Efficiency: Oversee coordination between teams for better project effectiveness.
- Priority Perception and Awareness: Demonstrate understanding of regional nuances to foster trust and project success.
- Cultural Alignment: Address issues collaboratively without time zone complications.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Many years leadership experience in Quality Engineering / Testing and Environments
- Proven experience as a Test Director, preferably within large data migration projects.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth understanding of quality assurance and risk management practices.
- Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements.
- Extensive experience working in a multi-vendor model, across multiple regions
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
