About the Role
The Non-Financial Risk team acts as the assurance function and supports the management of non-financial risk across Australia Commercial. This role is responsible for providing 1st line operational risk management, assurance, and well managed support to businesses within the Australia Commercial Division.
The Senior Assurance and Well Managed Manager works in conjunction with the Product & Digital Assurance & Well Managed Lead, this role is responsible for supporting:
- Leading a small team in the delivery of 1st line support for a line of business in the Commercial Product & Digital space
- Monitor operating and compliance key risks
- Delivery of operational risk and governance uplift
- Development and execution of treatment plans
- Delivery of risk management and high impact process forums
- IAM Amplified risk adoption and associated ongoing day 2 activities

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
- Providing support to Commercial Product & Digital Risk Owners by engaging with the respective businesses, and the border Operational Risk and Compliance teams across Commercial Division in relation to Operational Risk and Compliance matters and input for risk forums.
- Collaboration with Commercial Product & Digital businesses, Assurance, Operational Risk and Compliance teams in relation to monitoring operating risk and compliance key risks.
- Assist Commercial Product and Digital businesses with Audit preparation, conduct and ongoing issue remediation in relation to Operational Risk and Compliance matters.
- Assisting with the design and embedding of business process and controls to effectively manage and address operational risks and key compliance matters.
- Assisting in engagement with other Shared Services functions within ANZ to drive synergies and mitigate risks for the business, ensuring that initiatives are appropriate and meeting ANZ requirements.
- Supporting the development and execution of treatments across Product & Digital businesses and where necessary, treatments across the wider Commercial Division.
- Developing appropriate frameworks and execute plans to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Leading a small team in the delivery of 1st line assurance support, fostering individual growth through the origination and execution of individual development plans and performance management.

- Team Leadership: A proven ability to inspire others, lead by example and foster the growth of a high performing team.
- Commercial Acumen: The ability to take a big picture view of the organisation, the market, external and internal pressures and trends and identify actions or strategies to drive efficiency and create long term value.
