About the Role
As an Implementation Manager in Deposits & Payments under the Everyday Banking portfolio, you’ll play a key role in a dedicated project team, where your squad mission will be to deliver and manage releases on a technology program, supporting our vendor with the migration of our legacy customer communication and document services platform to a new platform solution. You will assist the Product Owner in leading, managing and supporting the Program from an implementation and PMO standpoint, including project, release, technology, and financial management, reporting and coordination. In addition, you will assist in leading and working with a team of business/technical analysts to gather, capture and document technical/business requirements and associated solution architecture, co-ordinate and deliver on technical releases, as well as test expected outcomes, and support with any co-ordination, management and implementation of technical changes.

What will your day look like?
As an Implementation Manager, you are accountable for:
- Leading, planning and executing technical releases/deployments, in conjunction with co-ordinating and managing the migration activities to ensure solution-related changes are successfully and hygienically embedded.
- Coordinating with the project team, cross-functional teams and our vendor to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Working in a squad where you will use your experience and skills to work collaboratively with various ANZ businesses and our vendor to perform data-driven business and technical analysis and define detailed requirements.
- Deep understanding of the technology landscape and able to document solution architecture and contexts.
- Project co-ordination and administration, where you will assist the Product Owner in managing and reporting on project progress, including timelines, budget, resources, and workstreams.
- You will support the project’s change and risk management streams by liaising widely across the bank to ensure the program meets internal project delivery, change, risk and governance requirements, whilst maintaining a high level of hygiene with documentation and collaterals.
- Using a range of elicitation and documentation techniques (i.e. HCD Toolkit, Process Modelling, Use Cases, Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Interface Specifications etc.) to define requirements, current and future state in business and technology environments and conduct impact, risk and scoping assessments.
- Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across different areas to ensure business and customer impacts have been fully considered and communicated to stakeholders, whilst bringing your problem-solving, technical and analytical mindset to help the bank support best practice delivery of implementing a major change.
- Assisting the Product Owner in managing our core team as well as wider working groups, as required, and drive a culture of fun and excellence.

You’ll need to multi-task and be highly adaptable to change and ambiguity.

Strong functional experience or expertise in the following disciplines: Technical Project Management/Release Co-ordination, Business/Technical Analysis and Solution Architecture.

Adept stakeholder management and an adaptable personality will help excel in the role when dealing with Business Owners from different Business Units, Leadership Teams, other initiatives, technology teams and vendors.

Demonstrated experience in large-scale technology projects/transformations and/or platform migrations. Interest and understanding of technology projects, document services, technical solution architecture and technical requirements documentation will be highly regarded.

Experience in project team administration/co-ordination and/or forecasting, as well as reporting and management of project progress and performance (including financials and resource management).

Experienced in eliciting, documenting, and managing detailed business requirements and conducting analytical activities such as process modelling, gap analysis, solution assessment and change transition using a wide range of elicitation and documentation techniques.

Expert documentation, facilitation, analysis and management skills to help manage the program’s operational and technical risk obligations, assist in program hygiene and maintain the integrity of what the team will deliver (e.g. User Stories and Acceptance Criteria).

Demonstrated experience in creating, facilitating and executing testing strategies and plans across business and technical areas.

Proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g. Teams, JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint, etc.) and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel and Project, etc.).

Having a risk lens on at all times to ensure sustainable solutions are identified and explored to protect customers, stakeholders, and the bank.

Experienced in conflict management and have complex problem-solving skills to handle team or vendor issues and/or can manage unexpected challenges effectively.

Have a demonstrable record of delivering on time and budget with different project delivery methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) and internal governance frameworks.

An intense passion and curiosity for customers, their needs and wants, putting them at the centre of everything you do whilst optimising customer journeys and experiences.
