About the Role
As a Senior Business Consultant, you will:
- Provide outstanding levels of sales & service supporting customers via inbound calls with Business Banking, Merchant and Lending enquiries, whilst balancing team, customer, risk and performance outcomes.
- This role will work collaboratively with the Small Business & Deposit Customers Leadership team and within the Contact Centre teams.
- Improve business performance, compliance, brand perception and customer satisfaction through behavioural and skills coaching of Specialists within Contact Centre teams.
- Improve core capabilities of banking, process adherence, risk awareness and mitigation across all Contact Centre roles.
- Promote and support the implementation of effective use of procedures, processes, and systems.
- Provide knowledge/expertise on initiatives being completed by the wider Business Banking area that improves customer experience.
- Actively contribute to activities and actions that drive positive team engagement and change culture.
- Promote risk awareness and management through compliance effectiveness and mitigation of risk and regulatory obligations. Role model a mature risk mindset.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Business Consultant role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Ensure Conversation model is integrated into coaching practice to ensure seamless learning experience.
- Work in partnership with key business partners across the group to develop learning solutions. as required and to address specific capability gaps that are impacting business performance.
- Provide day-to-day support, direction and coaching to ensure Specialists are operating in line with business goals.
- Implement key learning initiatives (training, seminars, on-the-job coaching) as required to support the enablement of our people to achieve the strategies and financial goals.
- Proactively identify operational and risk areas of concern and consult and provide feedback
- Meet risk and compliance benchmarks
- Identify opportunities for business process and system improvement that focus on simplification and business performance.
- Coach Specialists to understand banking opportunities in calls to assist the business in meeting customer needs.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, banking and/or finance (Desired).
- Coaching/Education Accreditation
- Strong years’ experience in a banking service and/or coaching role.
- People Management and Coaching experience.
- Financial Services experience.
- Significant understanding of the full range of Suncorp customer segments, products, and complementary financial services.
- Proven experience in a customer focused environment.
