About the Role
As a Home Lending Credit Strategy Senior Analyst in our Retail Lending team, you’ll play a key role in helping to support the Home Lending credit risk strategy. You will provide data driven insights, support the monitoring of key risk metrics and support any strategic and tactical credit risk initiatives.

Role Location: Brisbane
Work Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
What will your day look like?
As a Home Lending Credit Strategy Senior Analyst, you will:
- Contribute to the credit risk strategy supporting growth while managing risk.
- Manage and support several credit strategy initiatives.
- Provide data driven insights to enhance current risk culture, monitoring and strategy.
- Manage ongoing reviews of risk performance, investigate and identify drivers independently or in coordination with the other teams.
- Leverage internal bank data along with external and alternative data sources to drive optimum credit risk strategies.
- Be responsible for data analysis, cleansing and modelling of large datasets.
- Support engagements with risk committees by producing well-articulated paper supporting our credit risk strategy.
- Manage internal stakeholders to deliver business outcomes while managing risk.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Outstanding quantitative skills and experience working with large data models.
- Demonstrated experience in applying credit risk analytics in a commercial environment.
- Background in coding with a strong understanding of SQL and SAS
- In-depth knowledge of credit risk-related regulations.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to effectively communicate complex problems, strategies and solutions ranging from Credit Risk Committee papers to stakeholder communications.
- Proven experience managing and influencing stakeholders
- Previous experience in model development and model monitoring will be highly regarded
