About the Role

Assistant Relationship Managers provide administration, portfolio management and lending advice to a Relationship Manager in pursuit of specific customer, people, risk, and financial outcomes. 
You will support a specialised Development Finance/Property Finance relationship team for a portfolio of experienced real estate developer customers / property investors operating predominately in South-East QLD.

Role Location: 80 Ann Street, Brisbane

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

What will your day look like?

Assistant Relationship Managers undertake the following: 

  • Build and maintain relationships with the relationship team and key stakeholders to effectively support them in implementing sales, service, operational, process, and credit quality initiatives, and in the identification of continuous improvement and adherence to processes and requirements.
  • Proactively drive and take responsibility for administration of the portfolio ensuring all activities are undertaken in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Attend to client queries, ensuring they are responded to in a timely and professional manner and support improvement of customer service and satisfaction outcomes for the portfolio.
  • Assist the broader Development Finance/Property Finance team by collaborating across functions and accepting and completing assigned tasks when required.
  • Engage in initiatives and opportunities to continuously build your skills, knowledge and capability.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, economics, property economics or finance are desirable, as is demonstrated experience in banking or other financial service.
  • Applicants with developed credit skills, understanding and application of risk analysis, portfolio management, evaluation and analysis of projections, property valuation, credit mediation, security requirements and credit checking would be highly desirable.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills using appropriate behavioural styles to develop relationships, influence others and convey information coherently and confidently. 
  • Planning and organising skills, establishing a process to complete goals and allocating appropriate resources to achieve such goals.
  • Problem-solving capacity, ability to seek out information and break down problems and situations into simple lists of components, options or alternatives with a customer-centric focus.
  • Demonstrated capacity to adapt to a changing environment and work autonomously. 
  • Very high attention to detail.
