About the Role

This role is a part of the Enterprise Service Management (ESM) domain at the ‘Technical Command Centre’, Bengaluru, which delivers full end-to-end world class ‘Application Support’ to all our global Institutional, Corporate and Commercial and Retail domains across the Globe, at 39 countries where ANZ operates. It incorporates capabilities across multiple technologies vis-à-vis database management, data warehousing, cloud infrastructure, network securities and live online reporting like Service Now. The domain plays a pivotal role in the stability of the Enterprise Service Operations.

The ‘Application Support Engineer’ will be a vital part of one of the prime Squads in the DATA and will play a pivotal role in Enterprise Service Operations.

What will your day look like?

 

A typical day at office in the life of an ‘Application Support Engineer’ would be involved in Batch Monitoring, Data Extraction using SQL Queries, Ticket & Incident Management using Service Now, Stake Holder Communication, Documentation on Confluence Pages, SME Interactions, Escalation Management. 

Immense learning in terms of both Technical and Soft Skills is the best of the role which gives you hands-on exposure and opportunity to work with some of the latest technologies in the industry.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  •  
  • Experience & working knowledge in SQL, Unix/Linux & RDBMS.
  • Incident management tool – Service now, BMC Remedy if any.
  • Batch Monitoring tool – Control-M
  • Working knowledge of ETL tool – Informatica
  • Good technical knowledge on application/production environment.
  • Problem solving / resolving skills.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Any scripting knowledge Shell scripting or python will be advantage
  • Knowledge of Incident management and ITIL process.
  • Working experience in application / production support roles for at least 02 years
