We’re seeking a talented Senior Data & Insights Analyst to join the Data & Insights team within our Risk division.
This position plays a key role in managing credit risk for New Zealand personal and small business lending products, utilising advanced analytics and statistical techniques to derive insights and drive risk decision making and strategies.
Working across the credit risk lifecycle and product suite, this position will act as a SME in personal credit risk data and analytics tools.
What will your day look like?
As a Senior Data & Insights Analyst, you are accountable for:

Development and optimisation of risk strategies through the use of data insights and analytics.

Creating and presenting timely, accurate and insightful analytics across NZ Retail product lines and the credit risk lifecycle.

Producing and presenting timely and data-driven forecasts of key portfolio metrics.

Developing and applying a deep understanding of the NZ Retail credit portfolio, including risk triggers and early warning indicators
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
-
Bachelor’s degree in information management, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Minimum 7 years' experience in Data Analytics industry.

5+ years' experience in using data to create and present insights and translate these to actionable business strategies

Proficiency in various tools or languages for analysis, data manipulation and presentation, especially SAS, SQL, Tableau, GCP, Excel.

Skill and experience writing technical requirements and documentation in Confluence or similar

Strong data design skills and understanding of relational and reporting schemas and other database concepts

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate complex analytical information.

Experience identifying, analysing and resolving data quality issues.

Proficiency in Git for version control and adherence to best practices in code maintenance.

Understanding of lending products, policies and processes.

Knowledge and practical experience in using and developing AI models and tools to assist with data analysis and business decisions.
